It is with unbearable sadness that we announce the tragic loss of Kirk “Junior” Hazlett of Lakeville, MN who was taken from us on November 15, 2024. He is survived by his family he deeply loved, his soulmate and partner Deb, his boys Tristen and Colton, his grandson Beckett and his parents Kirk and Meredythe. Junior has an extensive extended family that will profoundly miss their brother, uncle, cousin, and in every instance which is deeply rooted in our hearts: Friend.
Junior, Dad, Bumpa, Uncle Kirk, and Friend, are just some of the ways we remember the man who dedicated his life to his those he loved. Family was the foundation of who he was. Memories of Junior are a thread woven into countless family gatherings, sailing, hunting, camping, and fishing trips. We celebrate him: his enthusiasm, his convictions, his passions. We will always keep him and his smile, a man who was in his element, close to our hearts.
There is no one who would disagree – Junior approached everything with conviction and enthusiasm. He had a zest for life and inspired everyone around him. Without question, if you were in need, he was the one who would show up. There isn’t a person who knew him who questioned his commitment to doing things right and getting things done. You always felt confident and safe when Junior was around.
Junior’s adventurous spirit was unmatched, and he dove headfirst into life’s next great challenge. His smile, laughter, and stories will echo in the memories of all who had the privilege of knowing him. The next time you find yourself sailing in that perfect wind, casting that perfect line, or sitting by a campfire sipping a favorite bevvy, be sure to raise a toast to Junior. Toast the man who never passed up the opportunity to share a moment with those he loved, to have a laugh and create a memory. https://www.whitefuneralhomes.com/obituary/kirk-hazlett-jr
