David Ottum, age 63, died suddenly at home on December 11, 2024. David was preceded in death by his parents Mary Jo and Wendell. David is survived by his wife Wendy, Wendy`s daughters Chelsea Benson, and Sarah (Jesse) Erickson and Wendy's grandchildren Isla and Asher Erickson; David`s son Eric (Katelyn) grandchildren Jayson and Troy; Daughter Alexandra (Matt) Kiecker and grandchildren Raylee and Rowyn; Eric and Alexandra`s mother Jane; Siblings Mark (Candy) Ken (Diane) Teri (Russ) Kathy (Kevin) and many nieces and nephews. David was born October 10, 1961, and lived in Lakeville, MN. Dave`s heaven on earth was spending time at his family cabin where he taught his love of fishing to his children, nieces and nephews, and many others. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
